CEO AND CHIEF FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

Sebastian Khoshabeh is the Chief Flight Instructor and CEO of Azure Aviation Academy, formerly SK Flight Instruction, an innovative flight school based in Salina, Kansas. A San Diego native, Sebastian began his aviation career at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (KMYF), where he earned his Private Pilot Certificate. His passion for aviation brought him to Kansas, where he attended Kansas State University Salina. There, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science, Professional Pilot with a minor in Aviation Safety.

Through his education and professional experience, Sebastian has developed a deep expertise in flight training, safety management, and aircraft operations. Today, he leads Azure Aviation Academy with a focus on delivering personalized, high-quality training that prepares the next generation of pilots for success.

As a certified flight instructor (CFI) and certified flight instructor – instrument (CFII), Sebastian is passionate about providing high-quality flight education in an accelerated training format. As an FAA Safety Team (FAAST) Representative, Sebastian is also committed to promoting safety and offering seminars to ensure that pilots are well-equipped to handle any challenges in the air.

EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR

Lani is the Executive Administrator at Azure Aviation Academy, where she plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the academy including scheduling, marketing, billing, and ensuring legal compliance, making her an indispensable part of the team. With a strong background in office administration and bookkeeping, she brings valuable experience to her role and contributes significantly to the smooth functioning of the academy.

Lani’s attention to detail and organizational skills have helped Azure Aviation Academy streamline its operations, allowing the team to focus on delivering top-notch flight training. Her commitment and adaptability are vital in supporting the academy’s growth and success.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

Jayson, originally from the Mankato area, is a skilled flight instructor at Azure Aviation Academy. After arriving in Salina in 2022, Jayson graduated from the Kansas State University Professional Pilot Program earning a degree in Aeronautical Technology. He completed his CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) training through Azure Aviation Academy and is also a certified AGI (Advanced Ground Instructor).

Jayson’s dedication to aviation and excellence in flight training makes him a valuable asset to the academy. His focus on safety, technical proficiency, and student success provides a solid foundation for aspiring pilots. Whether in the cockpit or the classroom, Jayson is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping students achieve their aviation goals.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

Terry, originally from Hawaii, is a dedicated flight instructor at Azure Aviation Academy. He joined the academy in August 2025 after nearly two years of instructing experience. A graduate of the Kansas State University Professional Pilot Program, Terry earned his degree in Aeronautical Technology while completing his flight training at K-State Salina. He holds both CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) and CFII (Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument) certificates.

In addition to his civilian aviation career, Terry proudly serves in the United States Navy, bringing discipline, leadership, and a mission-focused mindset to his flight instruction. His teaching style blends technical expertise with a patient, student-centered approach, ensuring that each pilot he trains develops both skill and confidence.

Terry’s commitment to safety, precision, and professional growth makes him a valuable mentor for aspiring aviators. Whether guiding students through their first solo flight or advanced instrument training, he strives to inspire excellence and a lifelong passion for aviation.
