AZURE SPARK
OUR AZURE SPARK PROGRAM
Azure Spark is an introductory flight experience designed for younger students who are curious about aviation and eager to get started early. The program provides hands-on flight time with a certified flight instructor while building foundational knowledge, confidence, and excitement for a future in aviation.
Whether your goal is to explore aviation for the first time or begin a structured path toward flight training, Azure Spark offers a safe, supportive, and inspiring introduction to flying.
Azure Spark combines real flight experience with age-appropriate ground instruction to introduce students to the fundamentals of aviation. Students will fly alongside a certified flight instructor, learn how aircraft operate, and begin developing the mindset and discipline required of pilots.
This program is exploratory by design—there is no pressure to earn a certificate. Instead, students gain exposure, experience, and clarity about whether aviation is right for them.
The First 10 Flight Hours
GROUND TRAINING
Ground instruction introduces students to the basics of aviation in an engaging, easy-to-understand format. Topics are tailored to the student’s age and experience level, with an emphasis on safety, curiosity, and understanding how flight works.
FLIGHT HOURS
The flight portion focuses on hands-on experience in the aircraft with a certified flight instructor. Students participate actively in the flight, learning how the airplane responds to control inputs while building confidence and excitement in the cockpit.
LOGGING FLIGHT TIME
All flight time is conducted with a certified flight instructor and may be logged in accordance with FAA regulations. This flight time counts towards the students total time, which can be used when they are of an appropriate age to take their FAA Private Pilot check check-ride. After each lesson, students receive a short post-flight discussion to review what was learned and what comes next.
Cost Breakdown
We believe in full transparency when it comes to introductory flight training costs. Azure Spark is designed as a hands-on, exploratory program that gives students meaningful flight experience without the commitment of a full certification track.
